MOAB 09' A Stunning performace by SLOBB at the recent Mother of All Battles Blood Bowl Tournament. In the tournaments biggest ever attendance (Moving it up to 3rd Place behind Cancon and Eucalyptus Bowl) 9 brave SLOBBers took part and did the league proud. In a field of 40, all SLOBB attendee's finished in the top half of coaches. 5 Coaches finished with 4-1-1 records, filling up positions 2 through 6. They were Tribalsinner, Grumpsh, Redcard, Rabid (who also picked up most TDS), and Virral. Tribal and Grumpsh also topped the Cas count but were ineligible due to their podium finishes. Blorc, Doubleskulls, Conan and Iaphyr all finished in the top 20 to round out a great tournament. Conan also picked up Best Sport, which is great for the league, showing some 'nice guy' class to complement our competitiveness. Thanks to all involved, and I look forward to you all flying the flag for SLOBB at Gathering of Might in November and doing us proud.

Dungeon Bowl Final The Visigoths are on top of the world.. well on top of the underground world, after their controlled victory in the Dungeon Bowl final today. The Virral coached Lizardmen team The Post-Twenties took early possession of the ball, but a failed dodge saw their momentum come to a halt and the Visigoths gathered up the pill and drove it in for the winning touchdown. As SLOBB Season 2 champions they now have the luxury of hiring a 50k Amber Wizard for their matches, while the Post-Twenties head off into retirement after featuring in the Semis of Season 1, and now losing Finalists in Season 2. Our attention now turns to Season 3, and the fabled Chaos Cup.

Carnivean Helmet Final Congratulations to The Eagles!!! The Iaphyr coached elves who proved too skillful for an unlucky keg not 6 pack and continued Redcards reputation of close but not close enough results. They become the inuagural holders of the Carnivean Helmet, a talismanic blood bowl heirloom that grants its holders an extra AV on the player of their choice for as long as they hold the trophy. Stay tuned for a second open league KO around the same time as the Chaos Cup finals are in full swing. Teams will be invited based on how active in the open league their coach is so get involved people !!!!!

Open League Trophy I can officially announce Keg not 6 pack (Redcard) and The Eagles (Iaphyr) are playing for the inaugural Carnivean Helmet. This sacred SLOBB keepsake was once the battered helmet of the leagues founder Carnivean, who mysteriously disappeared, leaving his helmet behind. It was turned into a trophy for the top team in the SLOBBs Open league to honour its founding traditions as an open league. The winner of the Open League KO will be the inaugural winner of the Helmet. It will be up for grabs whenever a KO tournament is called in the Open League. The Carnivean Helmet: The holders of the helmet can choose a single player in their team before every match and grant that player +1 AV at a cost of 30k Player cost or 3 TR. If the player is killed the Helmet still remains the possession of the team and can be used each and every game until the team relinquishes its title as KO champions.

Eucalyptus Bowl 09' Congratulations to SLOBB for taking out the teams challenge on Day 1 of Eucalyptus Bowl. It was a fine effort by all concerned, and I will be looking for us to go back to back next year. This Years Team was: Myself (Rabid_Bogscum) Iain Fisher (Grumpsh) Geoff Watson (Geoffwatson) Ian Williams (Doubleskulls) Richard Andrew (Virral) We also performed well as a league overall with many coaches from SLOBB taking out some trophies and finishing high on the ladder. Rabid_Bogscum - Runner Up and Most TDs Virral - 4th D_Arquebus - 6th Geoffwatson - 11th and Most TDs Grumpsh - 17th (with 4 wins from 4 games) Blorc - 20th Doubleskulls - 42nd (2 wins, 1 Draw, 3 Games) Redcard - 43rd (2 Wins, 1 Loss, 3 Games) Emm - 51st (1 Win) Nichren - 53rd (2 Draws) Well Done to all and thanks to Ian "Doubleskulls" Williams for running such a great tournament.
